The unprecedented circumstances we have all had to adapt to this year make it easy to forget that 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of FSC UK. There are many highlights we would like to recognise, from the first FSC-certified and labelled product, a wooden spatula, being sold in the UK in 1996, all the way to celebrating over 200 million FSC-certified forest hectares worldwide in 2019.

This year's annual review includes many exciting events, launches and milestones, such as exhibiting at Packaging Innovations, launching Together for Forests at the British & Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums education conference, hosting our 2019 Annual Members' Meeting at Kew Gardens, and celebrating some significant forestry milestones.

As FSC UK's Executive Director, Rosie Teasdale, points out in her introduction, "although it may be hard to predict where we will be in a year’s time, let alone another 25, we are confident that sustainability and responsible forest management will be as relevant as ever and that, with the ongoing support of all of you, we will be able to work together to meet the challenges ahead".
