The new-format FSC UK Annual Review 2013/2014, Our Forests Work, is now available to download below.

New research, conducted on behalf of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) UK, has found that 50% of the UK public now recognise the FSC logo , the little tree with a tick that means the wood, paper and other forest products on which it appears have been sourced responsibly.

This is a fantastic increase from last year’s 38% result, and shows that recognition has more than doubled from the 2007 figure of just 19%. What’s more, once the concept of FSC had been explained, half of those surveyed also said that they were very or fairly likely to check products are FSC certified before they make a purchase and that they were very or fairly likely to give preference to FSC certified products.

This new data is released within the 2013/2014 FSC UK Annual Review. The Review features facts, figures and highlights from the past year and the past twenty years of FSC.

The FSC forest certification scheme was founded in 1994 and this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. The 7th Annual General Assembly, a democratic forum where members vote on the future direction of FSC, has just come to a close.
