The FSC UK team were pleased to sponsor and exhibit at WoodBUILD 2025 on 3-4 June in Llandudno. The event, organised by Woodknowledge Wales, united timber and construction stakeholders to forge new partnerships. It reflected a shared commitment to scaling up the use of sustainable timber in the built environment, driving policy change, and fostering a resilient, low-carbon future for Wales.
As the largest buyer of timber products, the construction industry influences the type of timber in demand and helps to increase the amount of sustainably-sourced material used. WoodBUILD provided a great opportunity to talk about responsible timber sourcing, the importance of FSC certification, and to connect with other organisations shaping the future of sustainable construction.
As part of the ‘Reframing the Value of our Forests’ breakout session on day 2 of WoodBUILD, our Forests & Ecosystem Services Manager, Karen Paterson, presented on FSC Verified Impact and how this is helping to maintain and enhance forest ecosystem services. You can find out more about FSC Verified Impact here.
Thanks to Woodknowledge Wales for organising such an informative event!
