Olivia Bargman, Communications Officer
Olivia joined FSC UK in 2021, and brings her communication design experience from working as an illustrator for 12 years, a book designer at Penguin Random House, and a live scribe for events and focused strategic workshops. She completed an MA in Art & Science at Central St Martins, visualising speculative stories on soil microorganisms, leaf-cutter ants, and bio-remediating earthworms. She uses her digital know-how and love for the natural world to create and administer engaging content for web and social media platforms, writing and communicating case studies about FSC certificate holders and promotional licence holders.
Maggie Cooper, Trademark & Licensing Officer
Maggie joined FSC UK as Trademark & Licensing Officer in 2022. She will provide ongoing support with applications and approvals to new and existing FSC promotional licence holders. Maggie spent several years working as a trademark paralegal within Washington DC-based law firms and has also worked for the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, Physicians for Human Rights and Mind Cymru. Maggie has a joint BA in Political Science and English from Boston College, USA, an MA in International Relations from University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and an MA in Development Studies from Leeds University.
Carol Lord, Trademark Enforcement Officer
Carol joined FSC UK in 2022. After a 30-year career as a Metropolitan Police Officer, Carol worked for the Celia Hammond Animal Trust, having previously been a long-term volunteer for the charity, and more recently within a Local Authority Trading Standards Department. As the result of almost 20 years involvement in cat rescue, Carol has ‘a herd’ of rescued cats and she also spends a lot of time trying to keep a large garden under control. Carol will be monitoring FSC trademark use, helping businesses to comply with FSC trademark requirements and tackling trademark infringements.
Bethan Gratrix, Trademark & Finance Officer
Sadly we said goodbye to Beth at the end of February 2022. Beth joined FSC UK in 2015 having trained in accountancy. Her first role was as Office Administrator, ensuring the smooth running of the busy FSC UK office. Beth then took on more responsibility for the organisation’s finances and became Finance and Administration Officer. Having shown an interest in and aptitude for supporting FSC promotional licence holders in their trademark use, Beth then joined the business team as Trademark and Finance Officer. We would like to thank Beth for all her hard work and wish her the very best of luck for the future.
