If you're out to buy a Valentine's Day card or other paper and card accessories, make sure you look for the FSC logo.
The FSC logo can be found on many cards, indicating that they come from sustainable sources. The story was picked up by national media, who highlighted the irony of saying 'I love you' whilst buying something that potentially is the result of deforestation or illegal logging.
All responsible paper and card producers should be FSC certified, indicating that they source their products from responsible sources. FSC certified forests are governed by strict criteria that ensure the protection of the environment and the maintenance of social values.
