Rosie is currently FSC UK Deputy Director and will succeed the incumbent Director, Charles Thwaites, in March 2015.

Meriel Robson, Chair of the FSC UK Board welcomed the appointment, “With a background in conservation biology, Rosie brings a wealth of experience from her 8 years at FSC UK and in the wider FSC international network, which has included work on international communications, branding, and coordinating "FSC Friday" events around the world, together with the FSC UK team. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, from FSC certified companies & forest managers, to environmental NGOs campaigning for forests, Rosie relishes the challenge of taking FSC UK forward in the wider global context: and her dedication is second to none!”

Charles, who will retire at the end of March 2015, has worked extensively during his tenure to ensure financial security and international respect for the organisation and served on the UKWAS Steering Group, ensuring a stringent yet workable sustainable management standard for UK forests. Charles confirmed that Rosie was selected on merit, “emerging as the successful applicant after a series of interviews, held both in London and Llanidloes and spread out over nearly a month, involving a number of high quality candidates from many different backgrounds”. “I heartily congratulate Rosie on her new appointment,” said Charles.
