Holly joined FSC UK in September 2022 as Project & Communications Assistant. She has a background in wildlife conservation with a BSc in Conservation Biology and a MSc in Advanced Wildlife Conservation from the University of the West of England, Bristol. During her MSc, Holly became particularly interested in forest ecology and management, this led to her traveling to Borneo to study how forest management impacts soil-dwelling invertebrates and microorganisms for her dissertation. She has had a varied career involving monitoring seabirds on Skomer Island, working on an invertebrate recording and engagement project at the Field Studies Council and delivering several Local Nature Partnership projects at Powys County Council. In her new role, Holly will be creating engaging content for web and social media platforms, as well as assisting with various research projects.
