Warren Evans beds are made in their ethical workshop in Walthamstow, London. Their skilled carpenters use traditional craftsmanship for tried and tested durability along with leading technology to minimise waste and toxins. Forest Stewardship Council certified wood is carefully selected for sustainability and mortice and tenon joints used for strength. They were the first UK bed makers to be FSC certified and over the years they have encouraged their entire supply chain to use FSC certified wood.
Here’s how a Warren Evans bed is made, from wood to bed.
1. It all starts with a delivery of beautiful FSC certified wood…
2. Our guys then start cutting each piece into the right sized planks for the beds that have been ordered. Machine cut first…
3. Once the pieces have been cut, they are sanded down…
4. The headboards get cut and sanded…
5. And the sides are put together…
6. Now they are ready for some colour!
7. Each piece is sprayed with its correct finish…
8. A bit of drying…
9. Resanded for optimal smoothness…
10. Head and foot boards are assembled and checked…
11. Beds are labelled and ready to go!
