Whether you’re shopping for a new garden shed, doing a bit of DIY or just on the weekly grocery shop, the forest products you choose, such as wood and paper, have the potential to make either a positive or a negative impact on the world’s forests.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) tick-tree logo can be found wood and paper products of all sorts including garden furniture, DIY materials, books and bathroom tissue. FSC certified products are made with material from well-managed forests and/or recycled materials. The FSC certification system ensures that the trees that are harvested in FSC certified forests are replaced or allowed to regenerate naturally.

Choosing FSC certified products is one way to help ensure that the world’s forests are alive for generations to come.

Today is FSC Friday, an annual celebration of responsible forestry and a chance to remind ourselves (and tell our friends!) to look for the FSC logo when we shop.
