FSC requires transaction data of Calophyllum plywood and veneer supply chains to be verified from 2 July 2019. All affected certificate holders must submit their purchase and sales data from Q1 and Q2 2019 to their certification body by 2 September.

The accreditation body Assurance Services International (ASI) is currently verifying the accuracy of FSC purchase and sales claims made by trading partners in Brazil and Peru for three log supply chains.

Verified supply chains are related to these wood species from the Amazon region: Cumaru (Dipterix odorata), Jatoba (Hymenaea courbaril), and Ipe (Jatoba). The certification bodies accredited by ASI will collect all data for this transaction verification from the FSC certificate holders by 28 August.

As of 26 June 2019, organisations seeking to source controlled wood from Brazil, Canada, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, or Papua New Guinea are required to use the latest FSC risk assessments to conform with standard FSC-STD-40-005 Requirements for Sourcing FSC Controlled Wood.
