Effective 5 April 2019, organisations seeking to source controlled wood from the USA – except Alaska, Hawaii and outlying territories – are required to use the latest FSC risk assessment to conform with standard FSC-STD-40-005 Requirements for Sourcing FSC Controlled Wood.

The FSC International Board of Directors approved the controlled wood strategy on 30 April 2019.
