For the third consecutive year, FSC UK Forest Standards Manager Dr Owen Davies, was invited to speak with students at Bangor University about FSC forest management certification. Owen, himself a Bangor forestry alumnus (BSc Forestry 2001, PhD Forestry 2007), ran two sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate forestry students.

FSC is calling on standard development groups (SDGs) to help identify problems related to the normative framework for national forest stewardship standard (NFSS) development and act on them. They are looking for solutions and to build from grassroots experiences. The deadline for submissions is 26 May 2017.

FSC Australia and New Zealand have had a presence in the Asia-Pacific / Oceania region since 2001. The current mission of their subregional office is to make FSC valued and respected by stakeholders.
