On the occasion of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s 75th anniversary, the Joint UNECE/FAO Forestry and Timber Section has launched a photo contest in partnership with FSC on the theme of “From woodland to woodwork: a photo contest to mark 75 years of UNECE’s commitment to sustainable forest management”. 

For the fourth consecutive year the Forest Stewardship Council celebrated and promoted companies that are leading the way in sustainable furniture design. This year's FSC Furniture Awards event was held at the ADI Museum in Milan.

In October, FSC members from around the world gathered in Bali for the 9th FSC General Assembly. As FSC’s top decision-making body, the General Assembly convenes social, environmental and economic interests to debate and vote on motions that will guide the system as we go forward.
